Church in the Desert, Church in the World:  Reflections in the Spirit of the Second Vatican Council  

  • Wednesday, February 27 at 7 PM: Joy in the Desert, Joy in the World: A Concert with Kara Klein The Catholic Christian recording artist & dynamic young speaker sings and reflects about joy we find hidden in sacrifice and how God calls us to bring joy into the world.

  • Sunday, March 10 at 7:30 PM:  Gregorian Chant Laetare Sunday Mass  A Latin Mass in the extraordinary form will help us to reflect on the ancient and beautiful tradition of Gregorian chant and its place in today’s Church.

  • Wednesday, March 13 at 7 PM:  "Can our conscience be wrong?": A Reflection with Fr. Ed Vacek, S.J.  The Rev. Stephen J. Duffy Chair in Catholic Studies at Loyola New Orleans will lead us to reflect on what a conscience is and what role it plays in our daily decisions and our spiritual lives.

  • Wednesday, March 20 at 7 PM:  "Not by Bread Alone": An Interfaith Conversation on Fasting  Join us for a dialogue on the spiritual practice in the Christian, Hebrew and Muslim faiths as we consider the fruits this ancient and universal practice can bring today.

All events are held in Ignatius Chapel except for the Gregorian Chant Mass, which is held in Holy Name of Jesus Church.
